Our Story
Talladega Grill began as a pop-up vendor specializing in smash burgers and Texas-style smoked brisket. However, with the onset of Covid-19, we adapted our business model and transitioned into a dark kitchen, allowing us to continue serving our customers safely and efficiently
We acquired our first food trailer and found a temporary home at the Go-Drive-In in Salt River. Although the experience was short-lived, it provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our offerings to a diverse and ever-changing audience, many of whom have remained loyal customers to this day
We opened our first retail store at 343 Imam Haron Road, Lansdowne
Talladega Grill took to the road with our food truck and received an overwhelming response at the March 2022 Halaal Goods Market held at Waterfall Park, Mall of Africa, in Gauteng.
We were honored to be one of the few vendors selected by Red Bull South Africa to participate in the Red Bull Box Cart Race 2022 in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town.
Talladega Grill made its debut in Durban with an incredible response at The Luxe Affair. We were also privileged to be selected as a vendor for the inaugural FIA Cape Town Formula E Race.
In 2024, we consolidated all our production at a central processing facility as we embarked on a rapid national expansion strategy for the years ahead.
